Kelly Rowland born as Kelendria Trene Rowland on February 11th, 1981 in Atlanta, Georgia is a famous American singer with four Grammy Awards to her credit - three with the band and one as a solo artist. Not only she is a singer, she writes her own lyrics and dances amazingly to her own tunes.
She is more famous for her role in Destiny’s Child, a musical group, which she co-founded along with Beonce Knowles. The group hit the limelight in 1998 with its single, 'No, No, No Part 2' topping the Billboard Hot 100.
In spite of growing differences between the members, the Group that won three Gammys went on to produce super hit albums until its members parted ways in late 2005. Kelly announced the impending split during a concert in Barcelona, Spain on June 13th 2005.
Kelly Rowland released her first solo album "Simply Deep" in October, 2002. The album consisted of a super hit number 'Dilemma' featuring rapper Nelly, which climbed to the number-one position in US and UK musical charts. The single finally won her Grammy Award along with rapper Nelly. Her second album, "Ms Kelly" was released recently in late June of 2007.
The amazing singer has also made her mark in acting. Besides acting in "Freddy vs. Jason" in 2003 and the "The Seat Filler" in 2004, Kelly appeared in several television shows. Her latest being Nick Cannon's MTV series 'Wild n Out' in 2006.
